My grandpa made the furniture and gave me some of it about 15 years a go. It's been broken and repaired several times. I have finally found a scupltural use for it.

This is what always happened at the dAdA events. Tzara and Ball. the anti-philosophy of spontaneous acrobatics, he said, and the chairs flew off as birds, happily dancing in the air, attached to nothing free of fear and the musicians smashed their instruments making the canvas sing - and such.
My own grandpa made toys of wood, even a car (I know I have a photo somewhere! Damned!). It was all black and looked like one of those American cars, only smaller. When I sat in it I looked all Kosher Nostra with my sixpence on driving (pedals) down to the shop to buy candy.
I still have a set of chess figures he made, a bit cubist. And those I can make a shoot of. One day.
